This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Evaluate costs and prepare estimates for construction projects, manufacturing operations, or service agreements.

• Analyze project specifications, labor requirements, materials, and timeframes to offer precise and competitive pricing.

• Collect information and requirements while establishing priorities.

• Conduct quantity takeoffs and production assessments.

• Review and interpret construction drawings.

• Create construction budgets based on plans and project specifications.

• Identify and forecast costs for each elevation.

• Assess purchase proposals by evaluating changes, additions, and site requirements.

• Solicit bids from vendors and subcontractors by detailing materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating pricing.

• Maintain cost keys and price databases.

• Resolve cost discrepancies through information collection and analysis.

• Generate special reports by compiling, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

• Uphold quality service in accordance with organizational standards.

• Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs among corporate, division, and local teams.

• Stay updated on professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional organizations.

• Collaborate with Project Management to develop proposals.

• Work with Construction Management to establish production rates, schedule milestones, and job sequences.

• Contribute to team efforts and associated results.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; 8+ years is preferred.

• Experience in concrete estimating.

• Focused on quality.

• Preferred experience in tilt-up and commercial flatwork.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Proficient in budgeting and documentation.

• Experience in managing vendor relationships.

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Adobe.

• Familiarity with construction scheduling.

• Capability to develop and manage teams.

• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues and make sound decisions.

• Must possess a current driver’s license.

• Travel expected to be less than 25%, with potential travel to meetings and job sites as necessary.

• Must pass a physical exam.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
