Estate Planning & Probate Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver remote and on-demand assistance for both short-term and long-term legal projects for our client law firms.

• Oversee probate matters from the initial filing to the final distribution and closure of the estate.

• Maintain communication with clients, beneficiaries, and financial institutions.

• Draft and prepare estate planning documents as well as probate pleadings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal, specifically in Florida estate planning and probate matters.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Florida estate planning, probate administration, court protocols, and filing prerequisites.

• Proficient in preparing and drafting wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare surrogate designations, living wills, and other estate planning documents.

• Skilled in preparing probate pleadings, petitions, inventories, accountings, and associated court filings.

• Capability to manage probate cases from the initial filing through to the final distribution and closure of the estate.

• Experience in gathering and organizing estate assets, financial records, and necessary documentation.

• Proven ability to communicate professionally with clients, beneficiaries, personal representatives, financial institutions, and court personnel.

• Experience in coordinating document signings, witnessing, notarization, and execution of estate planning documents.

• Strong skills in calendaring and case management, with a focus on monitoring deadlines and managing multiple active cases.

• Familiarity with the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal and electronic court submissions.

• Experience with estate planning software such as WealthCounsel, Westlaw Form Builder, or similar platforms is preferred.

• Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail and strong drafting abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently and proactively managing matters with minimal supervision.
