ESS Operations Specialist – OTC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Accurately and promptly process customer orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Assess orders for completeness, pricing correctness, delivery expectations, and necessary documentation.

• Oversee order management workflows and address routine exceptions related to orders, inventory, shipping, and customer service.

• Assist with Order-to-Cash functions, which include order entry, maintenance, customer account assistance, and transaction processing.

• Execute MRP-related transactions, such as reviewing material availability and confirming orders.

• Collaborate with Customer Service, Sales, Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Distribution teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.

• Address inquiries from customers and internal teams regarding order status, product availability, delivery timelines, and transactional concerns.

• Maintain master data for customers, products, and orders.

• Track open orders and identify issues related to service, inventory, or fulfillment.

• Keep organized, audit-ready electronic and physical records.

• Assist with month-end reporting, audits, compliance, and customer service performance initiatives.

• Recognize operational challenges and escalate non-routine issues to management.

• Identify opportunities for improvement in OTC/OM processes.

• Aid in testing for system updates and modifications.

• Carry out other tasks assigned by management, including adhering to work schedules and complying with attendance and operational policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• 1-3 years of experience in Order-to-Cash, Customer Service, Order Management, Supply Chain, Shared Services, Master Data, or related operational fields.

• Experience in processing customer orders within a high-volume setting.

• Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or similar business applications is required.

• Preferred experience in supporting Order Management, Customer Service, MRP, Planning, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain processes.

• Preferred experience with workflow management systems and transaction-based business processes.

• Knowledge of order fulfillment, inventory management, customer account maintenance, or supply chain operations is preferred.

• Equivalent combinations of education and relevant work experience will be considered.

• Proficient in using ERP, order management, MRP, workflow, and Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to comply with internal controls, segregation-of-duty requirements, company policies, attendance policies, and relevant operating rules.
