Escrow Hazard Insurance Specialist II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee third-party insurance vendors to ensure timely payment of insurance bills

• Verify that adequate coverage is maintained on both escrowed and non-escrowed properties

• Ensure the accurate processing of force-placed insurance when borrowers do not provide proof of coverage

• Monitor Hazard and Flood insurance coverage requirements in accordance with investor guidelines

• Deposit insurance refunds and investigate outstanding issues

• Request and oversee approvals to pay insurance on loans that have disbursement holds

• Address customer insurance inquiries through phone or written communication

• Assist with PMI/MIP payments as required

• Identify and send notifications regarding loans that have transitioned to first-time vacancies

• Request property inspections for loans that are awaiting claims

• Ensure adherence to Loss Draft procedures for the release of held repair funds

• File and monitor hazard insurance claims related to foreclosure loans

• Deposit insurance refunds and loss draft proceeds into the record-keeping system

• Ensure third-party vendors track loss draft claims and arrange inspections for fund releases

• Process and pay for Optional Insurance Products

• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Collaborate with clients, industry partners, and internal teams to optimize results for homeowners

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification is required

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage loan servicing/lending; relevant experience in an insurance company, escrow department, accounts payable, accounting clerk, or similar roles may be considered

• Strong time management and prioritization skills

• Ability to quickly understand concepts, make informed decisions, and resolve issues

• Capability to thrive in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively meet deadlines

• Competence in collaborating with team members to achieve shared goals

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including telephone interaction

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

• A quiet, private workspace at home for remote work

• High-speed internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps

• Willingness to be productive during regular business hours and availability for early, late, or weekend hours as needed

• Overtime may be required as necessary
