Escrow Hazard Insurance Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the third-party insurance vendor to guarantee timely payment of insurance bills.

• Ensure sufficient insurance coverage is maintained for both escrowed and non-escrowed properties.

• Make sure that lender-placed and force-placed insurance protocols are adhered to.

• Monitor the requirements for Hazard and Flood insurance coverage amounts as per investor guidelines.

• Process insurance refunds and investigate outstanding items.

• Request and track approvals for insurance payments on loans with disbursement holds.

• Address customer insurance inquiries via phone and written communication.

• Assist with PMI/MIP payments when necessary.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• At least 1 year of experience in mortgage loan servicing/lending; experience in an insurance company, escrow department, accounts payable, accounting clerk, or a related field may be considered.

• Strong time management and prioritization skills.

• Quick comprehension of concepts, sound decision-making abilities, and effective problem resolution.

• Capability to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines efficiently.

• Skill in collaborating with colleagues in a team setting.

• Proficient communication skills in writing, face-to-face, and over the phone.

• Competence in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.

• A quiet, private workspace at home.

• High-speed internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25 MBPS and upload speed of 10 MBPS.
