This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Deliver correction services to clients of Ascensus and FuturePlan utilizing IRS and DOL correction programs.
• Execute Microsoft Excel calculations for client accounts.
• Review and compile correction packets for delivery.
• Provide both in-house and external consultation on technical correction matters, IRS and DOL guidelines, and internal procedures.
• Conduct correction-related presentations and facilitate basic technical training sessions internally.
• Assess, audit, and enhance internal and external training materials pertaining to IRS and DOL corrections.
• Engage in fee-for-service correction assignments and support advanced correction consultations.
• Participate in special projects related to IT and project management.
• Perform technical research and convey findings on correction protocols, fiduciary correction programs, and prohibited transaction exemptions.
• Author articles on corrections and revise ERISA policy statements and education research documentation.
• Examine legislative, statutory, regulatory, and case law guidance to ascertain its effects on the correction sector and Ascensus offerings, services, and systems.
• Attend continuing education courses and adhere to department service-level expectations.
• Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
• ASPPA designations are preferred, including QKA, QKS, QKC, QPA, CPC, and QP3.
• Successfully pass ASPPA examinations relevant to the area of Technical Expertise.
• Intermediate skill level in Outlook and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Working knowledge of Ascensus documents, plan forms and notices, policies and procedures, primary plans and products, and correction processes.
• Fundamental understanding of the retirement plans industry and relevant regulatory bodies, such as the DOL and IRS.
• Preference given for proficiency in Microsoft Excel, core code logic and system architecture, BOT tool creation and enhancements, and familiarity with Ascensus and FuturePlan internal tools including ARK, Salesforce, and AXIS.
• Strong client service, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication, seminar training, and presentation abilities.
• Professional demeanor, optimistic outlook, sound business judgment, risk management skills, and the capability to prioritize and finalize multiple detail-oriented tasks within designated timeframes.
• Special consideration for candidates with CPA, MBA, JD, PMP, Ascensus experience, or relevant industry experience.
