This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Perform standardized ergonomic assessments of workspaces, job tasks, equipment, and various work environments, including office, remote, and industrial settings.
• Document ergonomic exposures and suggest practical controls within set guidelines.
• Design, implement, and assess strategies for ergonomic programs.
• Work alongside individuals, committees, and teams to review existing programs, policies, standards, procedures, risk-reduction strategies, training programs, and vendor applications.
• Examine workplace injury and loss data.
• Create formal reports and presentations outlining findings.
• Offer advice and counseling to minimize workplace injuries and musculoskeletal risks.
• Develop and present ergonomic education programs, demonstrations, and job-specific coaching for colleagues, leaders, and clients.
• Suggest adjustments to workstations, equipment, tools, tasks, and workflows.
• Keep accurate assessment records, reports, and supporting documents.
• Provide insights on regulatory developments in human factors and ergonomics.
• Assist the sales team in identifying potential clients.
• Engage in local and national initiatives to enhance ergonomic knowledge and influence industry practices.
• A Bachelor's degree in ergonomics, engineering, physical or occupational therapy, or kinesiology from an accredited institution.
• Four (4) years of relevant experience or a comparable combination of education and experience is required.
• An equivalent mix of applicable education and experience may be accepted.
• Certification as a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS) or another relevant ergonomic certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability for clear and conceptual thinking.
• Strong judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical skills, and discretion.
• Capacity to manage work-related stress effectively.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities at the same time.
• Proficiency in meeting deadlines.
• Competent in computer keyboarding.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
