Equity Research Expert – Single-Name Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Anticipate the timing and content of a designated analyst's post-catalyst research note.

• Analyze filings, earnings, transcripts, estimates, valuations, and ratings to formulate an expected published perspective.

• Document the internal research process that dictates how and when an equity research report is created.

• Assess model-generated analyses and evaluate them against established personal criteria.

• Undertake projects for Mercor's AI labs and initiatives related to enterprise model training.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience as a lead sell-side equity analyst or a highly senior research associate.

• Evidence of personally published post-catalyst research within the specific sector.

• In-depth understanding of filings, earnings, transcripts, estimates, valuations, ratings, and the internal procedures involved in producing an equity research report.

• Typically, 8+ years of relevant experience or compelling evidence of comparable performance.

• Qualification is determined by direct experience and performance on the work sample; experience with well-known brands is not a prerequisite.

• Capability to reason from the stated cutoff without relying on hindsight, data leakage, confidential information, or material non-public information.

• Engagement as an independent contractor.

• Must not require H1-B or STEM OPT sponsorship.
