Equipment Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Repair and maintain all equipment in practitioners' offices, emphasizing excellent customer service.

• Deliver courteous and professional repair services, including the escalation of complex issues.

• Provide installation services as necessary.

• Supply and uphold the necessary tools for installation and repair services.

• Lead team members and oversee onsite installation, repair, maintenance, and testing activities.

• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify errors, and devise solutions.

• Comprehend customer needs and offer recommendations to enhance their experience.

• Assist junior technicians with tasks as needed.

• Maintain and manage appropriate inventory levels in the service van.

• Generate timely and detailed service reports.

• Update team members and HUB dispatchers on assignment progress.

• Complete and review work orders with customers or designated staff prior to departure; close and submit work orders daily for billing purposes.

• Submit job-related documentation, including FDA Forms, expense reports, and other required paperwork.

• Adhere to Fleet Management Policy, including maintenance and accident management protocols.

• Engage in special projects and undertake other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be cross certified in areas such as digital x-ray/software and digital CAD/CAM.

• Demonstrated ability to present preventative maintenance solutions to customers.

• Proven capability to manage work orders, FSRs, Concur, eTime, RMA’s, 2579 reporting, etc., in a timely and accurate manner.

• Ability to serve as a liaison between Henry Schein, customers, contractors, and EPM.

• Must exhibit lead technician capabilities.

• Must be capable of working well independently.

• Expert troubleshooting abilities.

• Proven track record of handling confidential information.

• Must possess the ability to mentor fellow technicians.

• Strong oral communication and presentation skills.

• Advanced proficiency in computer skills.

• Typically, 7 or more years of experience in the dental industry with demonstrated proficiency.

• Strong mechanical expertise.

• Experience in service and installation.

• Must have achieved and demonstrated expertise equivalent to a CIT certification.

• Typically, a high school diploma, vocational training, and/or on-the-job training.

• Ability to maneuver large equipment.

• Ability to perform significant and/or repetitive bending, stopping, lifting, and climbing of ladders.

• Compliance with OSHA regulations and the use of personal protective equipment when necessary.
