This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +4 more states.
• Develop larger and more intricate HVAC equipment projects for clients across the United States.
• Assist in the management of complex equipment projects, ensuring they are completed accurately, punctually, within contractual scope, and meeting customer expectations.
• Collaborate with sales and project management to balance customer satisfaction in data center projects with financial outcomes.
• Oversee project profit and loss (P&L) metrics and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Direct backlog execution, schedules, and forecasts up to two years ahead in conjunction with branch administrations.
• Facilitate project handover between equipment sales and equipment order execution processes.
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to create engineered equipment submittals.
• Prepare and process engineering submittals, including coil selection and coordination, fan selection, chiller performance validation, and chiller configuration and option selection.
• Assess contractual scope of supply and the effects of client-issued bulletins, field directives, and changes in scheduling.
• Collaborate with project team members on cross-scope items.
• Create cost estimates and proposals; negotiate settlement prices and customer acceptance regarding scope changes and change orders with sales.
• Coordinate factory equipment orders to ensure technical and commercial compliance.
• Generate technical content for purchase orders and select, order, and monitor field-purchased materials and equipment.
• Manage logistics, factory schedules, and project timelines; review equipment order status and identify critical delivery needs.
• Ensure project documentation adheres to contract stipulations, Johnson Controls standards, and equipment order execution protocols.
• Align customer training requirements with local Johnson Controls service teams.
• Facilitate coordination between HVAC branches and customers to ensure full payment upon project completion.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Over 3 years of experience in operations management or mechanical engineering.
• Proficiency in project management.
• Strong knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, thermal analysis, fluid dynamics, etc.
• Proven track record of leading large, complex projects with extensive execution teams while demonstrating professionalism, cooperation, and persistence.
• AutoCAD experience is preferred.
