Epic Application Analyst III – Ambulatory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform intermediate to advanced analyses of Epic application designs and system workflows.

• Take charge of assigned projects and work initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time.

• Lead the gathering of requirements and facilitate design discussions with stakeholders.

• Analyze and convert business needs into system solutions with minimal oversight.

• Create and maintain documentation and knowledge resources for Epic and integrated third-party applications.

• Acquire a working understanding of the assigned Epic modules and relevant development and maintenance tools.

• Utilize in-depth expertise in specific areas of Epic modules.

• Understand how assigned Epic modules connect with other Epic systems throughout the organization.

• Aid in the implementation of new Epic modules and system enhancements.

• Act as a resource for Epic application and system support, providing direction to team members.

• Mentor analysts and participate in the sharing of team knowledge.

• Function as a liaison across various Epic modules, teams, and stakeholders.

• Engage with internal and external customers and stakeholders.

• Exercise independent judgment and escalate issues as necessary.

• Recognize opportunities for system improvements and support optimization initiatives.

• Comply with application change management processes, including communication, documentation, and post-change support.

• Monitor work efforts and communicate the status of projects and tasks.

• Participate in an on-call rotation that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate's degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, or business; alternatively, 2 years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.

• At least 4 years of related experience.

• Obtain and maintain a minimum of 3 vendor and/or industry certifications/proficiencies as determined by management in accordance with a primary Epic support application proficiency path.

• Must retain certification/proficiency in applicable Epic module(s).

• Should be a self-motivated team player capable of working with minimal supervision.

• Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Flexibility to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills.

• Capability to operate in a matrixed environment and comprehend bimodal work principles.

• Willingness to extend beyond standard hours, including participation in an after-hours on-call rotation and occasional travel.
