
Epic Analyst – Ambulatory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in maintaining the daily operations of the EpicCare Ambulatory application for a client.
• Analyze workflows and data to diagnose reported issues, identify root causes, and comprehend underlying business needs.
• Collect and document requirements through discussions with stakeholders.
• Convert business needs into clear, testable requirements that align with established standards and controls.
• Develop, test, and validate modifications to EpicCare Ambulatory, including orders, SmartTools, rules, and Nova notes.
• Implement changes following defined processes while documenting build decisions, test outcomes, and final modifications.
• Participate in biannual Epic upgrades, including testing, validation, and coordination of go-live activities.
• Engage in customer-prioritized optimization and project tasks.
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders to grasp operational context and priorities.
• Provide clear and timely updates regarding progress, risks, and impacts.
• Complete assigned tasks in accordance with SLAs, quality standards, and performance expectations.
• Assist with essential client delivery activities as necessary.
• Identify opportunities for enhancements to tools, processes, and documentation.
• Contribute to the collective knowledge of the team.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must operate from a location within the United States that offers reliable Internet service.
• Must be comfortable working during Pacific time zone hours.
• At least 2 years of experience in delivering scoped analyst work focused on problem-solving, requirements gathering, testing, and solution implementation, preferably within Epic.
• Active Epic Ambulatory certification is required at the time of hire.
• A broad range of experience across ambulatory workflows is preferred, rather than specialization in a single area.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient in clearly and accurately documenting requirements, test results, and system changes.
• A customer-service-oriented approach and comfort in functioning as a trusted vendor partner.
• Proven autonomy, reliability, and initiative.
• Ability to work independently while recognizing when to seek assistance.
• Availability for on-call support during scheduled hours, if necessary.
• Full attention during scheduled work hours is mandatory; overlapping jobs or multitasking is not permitted.
• Must be on camera during training sessions and when necessary during the workday post-training.
• Preferred: experience with orders, third-party integrations, or interfacing ambulatory orders and results.
• Preferred: familiarity with ambulatory medication workflows.
• Preferred: additional Epic certifications such as Healthy Planet, MyChart, Order Transmittal, or Cadence.
• Preferred: experience in a smaller ambulatory team, distributed or remote team, startup, or fast-paced environment.
