This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assess biology-related deliverables for scientific precision, thoroughness, and professional standards.
• Evaluate biological theories, interpretations, and conclusions for supporting evidence.
• Analyze materials concerning organisms, populations, ecosystems, and biological mechanisms.
• Review evaluations related to environmental systems, ecological conditions, and human-environment interactions.
• Assess environmental recommendations for methodological integrity and practical viability.
• Evaluate content regarding ecosystems, biodiversity, habitats, populations, and conservation efforts.
• Review conservation plans, environmental evaluations, and associated recommendations.
• Examine research-oriented materials for methodological and analytical rigor.
• Determine if evidence substantiates the stated findings and conclusions.
• Assess experimental, observational, or quantitative reasoning where applicable.
• Review spreadsheets and quantitative analyses that support biological or environmental conclusions.
• Analyze calculations, assumptions, metrics, tables, and supporting data.
• Evaluate scientific reports, documents, spreadsheets, and slide presentations for accuracy and thoroughness.
• Review presentations for logical coherence, scientific clarity, and professional quality.
• Evaluate charts, tables, figures, and visualizations for accurate representation of the underlying data.
• Ensure assigned outputs meet domain-specific quality standards.
• Provide clear, organized written feedback outlining identified strengths and weaknesses.
• Consistently apply evaluation standards across biology and environmental science deliverables.
• Over 5 years of pertinent professional experience in biology, environmental science, ecology, conservation science, or a closely related discipline.
• Background as an Environmental Scientist, Biologist, Ecologist, Conservation Scientist, Marine Biologist, or a comparable scientific role.
• Strong practical knowledge in biology and/or environmental science.
• Experience in developing or reviewing scientific analyses, environmental reports, research materials, datasets, or other pertinent professional deliverables.
• Ability to evaluate scientific content for factual correctness, methodological integrity, and analytical credibility.
• Strong quantitative skills and scientific judgment.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint / Google Slides.
• Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills.
• Native or professional fluency in English.
• Exceptional written communication skills and the ability to provide clear, structured feedback.
• A Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution is a plus.
• Work must be performed without reliance on confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
