
Environmental Remediation Area Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Supervise the effectiveness of significant environmental initiatives and projects to meet both internal and client-oriented KPIs.
• Maintain active participation in and execution of billable environmental site assessments and remediation tasks.
• Propel program performance, client satisfaction, business success, and achievement of KPIs.
• Oversee governance, risk management issues, client issue resolution, project evaluations, digital tool integration, and process enhancements.
• Manage high-caliber client projects and incorporate Enterprise Capabilities into the delivery of projects.
• Share responsibilities for people management for approximately 50 staff members within the department.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with three multinational chemical company clients.
• Address significant issues, assist Project Managers, create succession plans, recruit essential personnel, and provide training and mentorship to staff.
• Guide and assess Project Managers and team members on business performance and internal KPIs.
• Collaborate on business development initiatives, increase profitable backlog, oversee budgets, direct capture strategies, and enhance technical competencies.
• Raise project concerns and manage issues related to resourcing, technical aspects, invoicing, cash collection, subconsultant, and vendor matters.
• Promote project management practices that align with AECOM's Project Delivery System and Quality Management System standards.
• Ensure precise workload planning, pricing and approval adherence, Salesforce pipeline accuracy, and forecast reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience or a proven equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
• Successful completion of a background check is required.
• Must pass a motor vehicle records check.
• US citizenship or permanent residency is mandatory.
• No sponsorship is available now or in the future.
• A Master's Degree is preferred.
• 15 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• California Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the environmental/remediation business, including risk-based strategic asset management and advocacy across various state jurisdictions.
• Experience in an environmental consulting role is required.
