This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Perform regular stormwater site inspections and post-storm evaluations as outlined in the ECP.
• Identify and resolve site compliance and BMP concerns.
• Relay site/BMP challenges and inspection findings to construction teams and client representatives.
• Gather stormwater and non-stormwater samples as required.
• Execute field analyses of samples as necessary.
• Confirm site adherence to ECP, SWMP, maps, and permit stipulations.
• Complete, maintain, and submit inspection reporting documents.
• Inform project management about BMP execution and other compliance matters.
• Organize and conduct stormwater-related training and pertinent communications for project personnel.
• Allocate the majority of working hours to field inspections of construction projects for compliance with stormwater regulations.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with field stormwater regulations, hands-on field experience, construction background, or research experience.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet navigation.
• Understanding of Best Management Practices (BMP) and NPDES regulations.
• Knowledge of construction job sites and plans.
• Experience with field sampling tools.
• Ability to perform fieldwork and traverse long distances over potentially challenging terrain.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and active personal automobile liability insurance by the first day of employment.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
• Preferred: Over 2 years of experience in field stormwater regulations, construction roles, and inspection duties.
• QCIS certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Certification such as CSI, CESSWI, CMS4S, CPESC, CISEC, or an equivalent accredited compliance inspector certification is required within one year of employment.
• Completion of the 2022 EPA Construction General Permit Inspector Training Course.
• U.S. work authorization is required.
