This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
β’ Identify and address operational and safety challenges, formulating enhancement strategies and standard operating procedures.
β’ Evaluate industry developments and contribute to the creation of safety communication materials reflecting these changes.
β’ Relay findings to relevant stakeholders.
β’ Obtain necessary resources and organize logistics for a safety initiative.
β’ Offer specialized safety expertise and advice to both internal and external stakeholders, including leadership, in areas such as biosafety, chemical safety, hazardous materials, agriculture, lake safety, radiation, and OSHA regulations.
β’ Oversee logistical operations, distribute resources, and examine elements of specific health and safety cases.
β’ Carry out responsibilities under the general guidance of the Consultation Program Manager.
β’ Deliver on-site occupational safety and health consulting services to private-sector businesses across Wisconsin, with a focus on construction clients.
β’ Travel across Wisconsin using a state-owned vehicle, including regular overnight trips.
β’ At least 8 years of experience in the occupational safety and health sector.
β’ Preferred experience in the construction industry.
β’ A Bachelorβs Degree from a regionally accredited university is preferred.
β’ Must confirm identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete Form I-9.
β’ WSLH does not provide work visa sponsorship at the time of hire or during employment.
β’ Must successfully pass a criminal background check before receiving a job offer.
β’ Required to submit a current resume and cover letter.
β’ Frequent and routine highway travel throughout Wisconsin, typically involving 4 single-night overnight trips monthly.
