Entry Level Background Investigator – Top Secret

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough interviews with subjects, employers, associates, references, and other knowledgeable individuals.

• Review relevant records to gather necessary information.

• Address all significant issues in cases to establish the subject’s background, reputation, character, suitability, or qualifications.

• Conduct interviews through Virtual Teleconference, phone, and in-person meetings, with VTC being the primary method.

• Participate in a multiweek intensive virtual online training program.

• Engage in additional shadowing and mentorship with a seasoned Investigator.

• May require travel across the U.S. for temporary duty assignments, usually lasting two weeks.

• Bachelor’s Degree or four years of general experience showcasing progressive responsibility in problem-solving, planning and organizing work, and effective oral and written communication.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a favorable determination based on a T5 Investigation.

• Strong commitment to supporting national security initiatives.

• Exceptional work ethic, integrity, and a positive, proactive attitude.

• Proficiency in navigating and utilizing multiple technology systems simultaneously.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Reliable personal vehicle.

• Willingness to travel locally based on assignment location.

• Home office situated within a reasonable distance from workload areas.

• Dependable high-speed Internet connection.

• Ability to sit, type, stand, or walk for extended durations.

• Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritize effectively.

• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

• Proficient in conveying complex or sensitive information effectively.

• Ability to listen attentively, respond appropriately to nonverbal cues, and deliver clear and persuasive oral presentations.

• Capacity to maintain strong relationships with diverse individuals and manage challenging situations with tact and professionalism.

• Correct use of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

• Ability to present information clearly and in an organized manner.

• Competence in producing written content, including technical material, suited for the intended audience.

• Active Top-Secret Clearance based on a T5 (preferred).
