This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Support the security certifications team in examining and modeling data obtained from clients to demonstrate the randomness of the data.

• Evaluate a specified dataset and create a heuristic model to characterize the randomness of the data.

• Assist product vendors in utilizing a tool to collect the necessary data.

• Deliver a comprehensive written technical analysis of the data and the mathematical model.

• Engage with security product vendors, testing facilities, personnel, and government authorities to resolve compliance issues, testing inquiries, and documentation feedback.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Statistical Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Extensive knowledge of statistical mathematics.

• Experience in developing mathematical models for data.

• Familiarity with software development practices.

• Excellent written communication skills; capable of conveying requirements in both technical and non-technical language to customers, colleagues, and management.

• Proficiency in visually representing data for reporting purposes.

• Understanding of the principles of randomness (preferred).

• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-90B (preferred).

• Knowledge of processors and their internal operations (preferred).
