Enterprise Security Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate software and services that the organization intends to acquire and provide clear, timely security assessments.

• Direct security architecture for the on-premises data center.

• Establish enterprise security benchmarks for networks, servers, virtualization, storage, backup, and privileged access.

• Act as the design authority for zero-trust network access.

• Define standards for identity, privileged access, and encryption.

• Supervise hardware security modules and the customer identity service provider.

• Participate in project and architecture discussions across product, infrastructure, data, and business teams.

• Identify and address gaps among specialized security areas.

• Assist cloud and application security architects with their reviews.

• Collaborate in evaluating products that incorporate AI functionalities.

• Ensure timely documentation of security decisions for software acquisitions.

• Verify that data center infrastructure, data, and applications comply with established security standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of ten years of experience in cybersecurity.

• Extensive, hands-on expertise across network, infrastructure, identity, application, and data security.

• Demonstrated experience in leading security design for on-premises data centers, including segmentation, hardening, virtualization, storage, and backup protection.

• Proven ability to conduct swift and practical security reviews of third-party software and SaaS solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of identity and privileged access management, encryption, and key management.

• Familiarity with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.

• Background in financial services or another regulated sector.

• Capability to make clear risk decisions and effectively communicate them to both executives and engineers.

• Experience with SASE platforms is a plus.

• Practical experience with hardware security modules such as Thales Luna is an advantage.

• CISSP or an architecture certification such as SABSA is an added benefit.
