Security – Information Technology Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the objectives and goals of the contract.

• Ensure that technology and resources effectively support the scope and requirements of the contract.

• Lead and manage the IT team, which includes web presence and cybersecurity developers, engineers, and administrators.

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, networks, hardware, software, and communication platforms.

• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.

• Create and execute business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.

• Facilitate the adoption of new technologies and processes through effective training and support.

• Manage the transition from legacy systems to new solutions.

• Influence changes and enhancements to business processes, policies, and infrastructure.

• Manage the selection, evaluation, contracting, and integration of external hardware, software, and processes.

• Direct the planning, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of support systems.

• Build and lead teams through training, assignments, coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities.

• Develop both tactical and strategic plans, including cost estimates, benefits analysis, justification, and risk assessments.

• Oversee project management, staff, customer expectations, and business priorities.

• Manage vendor relationships, budgets, expenses, and business process re-engineering efforts.

• Foster relationships with other IT services groups and share best practices.

• Oversee Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support and the resolution of complex incidents.

• Monitor system availability, performance, integration health, and operational reliability.

• Coordinate incident response, service restoration, root cause analysis, and corrective maintenance.

• Ensure that current system documentation, configuration records, and troubleshooting procedures are maintained.

• Participate in program management reviews, technical interchange meetings, cybersecurity working groups, and system architecture reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, IT, social science, or equivalent experience in government or the private sector.

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in information technology, cybersecurity, and/or system integration projects in a government or private-sector context, with a focus on recommending solutions to optimize IT systems.

• Proven experience managing a team of 10 or more full-time employees.

• Familiarity with and understanding of zero trust architectures, multi-factor authentication, HIPAA compliance, DoD RMF processes, and data protection regulations.

• Specialized experience overseeing projects to ensure that developed solutions meet customer requirements.

• Experience implementing appropriate security measures for IT systems.

• Knowledge of technical integration requirements and interoperability standards for the Medical Telehealth Support Contract.

• Experience in identifying security risks and suggesting solutions to enhance IT systems, including EHRs, telehealth platforms, and/or cybersecurity initiatives.

• Ability to apply Agile development practices in the delivery of transformational programs.

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Salesforce systems.

• Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English.

• Ability to pass criminal history, fingerprint background checks, and credential reviews/verification.

• Quiet, private, and confidential workspace required.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection hardwired to the home or apartment via coax or fiber; mobile-device tethering and wireless ISP are not acceptable.
