This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Develop and manage the enterprise risk function of the company.
• Create and implement a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework that promotes safe growth, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making.
• Consistently identify, assess, monitor, and report on key risks with a forward-looking approach.
• Establish the risk appetite and evaluate resilience during stress scenarios.
• Assist with capital and liquidity planning efforts.
• Assess new products and strategic initiatives through a defined risk perspective.
• Simplify complex risk information into clear, actionable reports for senior management and governance entities.
• Ensure transparency, accountability, and effective oversight.
• Expand and develop the enterprise risk and reporting function as the organization grows and seeks licensing opportunities.
• Initially engage in hands-on operations before transitioning into a leadership role.
• 6–10+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, regulatory risk, or a similar field within a regulated financial services or banking context.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Business, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• In-depth understanding of enterprise risk frameworks, including Risk Appetite, RCSA, scenario analysis, stress testing, and ICAAP.
• Knowledge of regulatory expectations applicable to banks or payment institutions, encompassing capital, liquidity, and operational risk requirements.
• Experience with regulatory reporting and engagement with supervisors, auditors, and internal governance bodies.
• Strong analytical abilities and capability to convert intricate risk and financial data into clear management and regulatory reports.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage, challenge, and influence senior stakeholders and regulators.
• Capacity to work independently with a high level of autonomy while collaborating effectively across various functions.
• Strong problem-solving and judgment capabilities.
• Professional risk or finance certifications such as CFA, or equivalent, are highly desirable.
