This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria, +1 more country.
• Develop and manage the company's enterprise risk function.
• Create and implement a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework that facilitates safe growth, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making.
• Consistently identify, evaluate, monitor, and report on key risks with a forward-looking perspective.
• Ensure alignment of enterprise risk activities with regulatory standards and the company's strategic goals.
• Define the risk appetite and evaluate resilience under stress conditions.
• Assist in capital and liquidity planning.
• Assess new products and strategic initiatives through a clear risk perspective.
• Convert complex risk data into actionable insights for senior management and governance entities.
• Expand and enhance the enterprise risk and reporting function as the company grows and seeks licensing opportunities.
• 6–10+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, regulatory risk, or a related field within a regulated financial services or banking setting.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Business, Mathematics, or a similar discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks, including Risk Appetite, RCSA, scenario analysis, stress testing, and ICAAP.
• Experience with regulatory expectations pertinent to banks or payment institutions, encompassing capital, liquidity, and operational risk requirements.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting and engagement with supervisors, auditors, and internal governance organizations.
• Strong analytical abilities with a talent for translating complex risk and financial data into clear management and regulatory reports.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging, challenging, and influencing senior stakeholders and regulators.
• Ability to work autonomously with a high degree of independence, collaborate across departments, and foster strong professional relationships.
• Excellent problem-solving and judgment capabilities, with the confidence to make decisions, escalate issues, and navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
