This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.
• Develop and manage the enterprise risk function for the organization.
• Create and implement a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework that facilitates safe growth, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making.
• Consistently identify, evaluate, monitor, and report on key risks with a forward-looking perspective, aligning with regulatory expectations and strategic goals.
• Establish the organization’s risk appetite and evaluate resilience under stress conditions.
• Assist in capital and liquidity planning processes.
• Analyze new products and strategic changes through a focused risk perspective.
• Convert intricate risk data into clear, actionable reports for senior management and governance bodies.
• Expand and enhance the enterprise risk and reporting function as the company evolves and seeks licensing opportunities.
• 6 to 10+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, regulatory risk, or a related field within a regulated financial services or banking environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Business, Mathematics, or a related area.
• In-depth understanding of enterprise risk frameworks, including Risk Appetite, RCSA, scenario analysis, stress testing, and ICAAP.
• Experience with regulatory requirements pertinent to banks or payment institutions, encompassing capital, liquidity, and operational risk expectations.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting and interactions with regulatory supervisors, auditors, and internal governance entities.
• Strong analytical abilities to translate complex risk and financial information into clear management and regulatory reports.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling engagement, challenge, and influence with senior stakeholders and regulators.
• Capacity to work independently with a high level of autonomy, collaborate across various functions, and foster strong working relationships.
• Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to make decisions, escalate issues, and navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
