This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Direct intricate, non-standard projects from inception to completion, converting objectives into scopes, milestones, dependencies, responsibilities, and execution strategies.
• Set up project governance, including meeting schedules, communication protocols, decision-making frameworks, and documentation standards.
• Ensure transparency regarding project status, milestones, dependencies, and decisions; proactively manage risks, issues, and obstacles, escalating broader implications as necessary.
• Create effective workflows, responsibility matrices, templates, and documentation for new products, services, and client-specific delivery approaches.
• Identify operational shortcomings, ambiguous handoffs, and execution risks; test and enhance processes throughout the implementation phase.
• Finalize projects with comprehensive documentation, stakeholder alignment, lessons learned, and the transition of repeatable tasks into ongoing management.
• Act as a reliable, client-facing project leader for complex initiatives.
• Conduct discovery sessions, planning meetings, status updates, and decision-making discussions.
• Convert client objectives and strategic priorities into practical project directives.
• Relay project information to both executive and operational audiences.
• Establish requirements, expectations, and success criteria prior to project initiation.
• Coordinate internal teams, including strategy, account management, creative, media, data, production, technology, and finance, alongside external project managers, capital partners, and vendors.
• Clarify roles, responsibilities, handoffs, dependencies, decision-making rights, communication expectations, and escalation procedures.
• Develop and oversee external partner scopes, milestones, and deliverables.
• Consolidate internal and external workstreams into a cohesive plan, ensuring timely decisions and follow-up.
• Extensive experience in leading complex, cross-functional projects from initial discovery through implementation and closure.
• Proven success in collaborating with large or enterprise-level clients within an agency, consulting, marketing, technology, professional services, or similarly intricate environment.
• Experience managing projects that involve various internal teams, external partners, and senior stakeholders.
• Strong aptitude for converting vague objectives into structured, actionable project plans.
• Exceptional facilitation, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to recognize dependencies, identify risks, overcome challenges, and sustain momentum while keeping the larger objective in focus.
• Strong judgment to discern when issues can be resolved within the project team or need to be escalated.
• Experience in designing or implementing new operational processes and workflows.
• Proficient with project management and collaborative work platforms.
• Project management certification or equivalent formal training is preferred, though not mandatory.
