Enterprise Context Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop the strategic framework for the authoritative source of enterprise knowledge, encompassing systems, indexing, AI eligibility, and archival strategies.

• Set enterprise-wide standards for AI-compatible content structures, metadata, provenance, access methods, semantic models, and authoring practices.

• Create governance controls for AI operations, including eligibility criteria, approval processes, escalation paths, and rollback procedures.

• Direct the platform and connector strategy across the content ecosystem, collaborating with IT and Engineering on architecture and AI accessibility.

• Construct a federated operational model for enterprise content, which includes stewardship, domain accountability, lifecycle management, review schedules, expiration policies, and retirement processes.

• Establish content quality standards within the AI context and implement evaluations for retrieval, grounding, workflow tracing, and policy compliance.

• Co-manage AI content eligibility, sensitivity classification, permissions modeling, and access boundaries with Legal, Privacy, and Security teams.

• Monitor advancements in AI capabilities and translate these developments into actionable, evolving enterprise standards.

• Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, and Security on the enterprise knowledge function.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in structuring, owning, and managing information at an enterprise scale.

• A minimum of 2 years applying enterprise information architecture principles to AI retrieval and grounding.

• Hands-on experience preparing content for AI utilization.

• Proficient knowledge in retrieval-augmented generation, grounding, semantic chunking, embeddings, vector search, and citations.

• Practical experience with knowledge graphs, ontologies, or semantic models.

• Proven track record of developing federated operating models across functions beyond direct reporting lines.

• Demonstrated success in establishing metadata standards or authoring frameworks that have been adopted at scale.

• Ability to effectively influence senior stakeholders in Engineering, IT, Legal, Security, and business operations.

• Excellent judgment in balancing centralized standards with domain-specific expertise.

• Preferred: experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Atlassian, Microsoft 365 or Copilot Search, Slack, or Notion.

• Preferred: familiarity with structured authoring methods like DITA, controlled vocabularies, or KCS.

• Preferred: experience with AI evaluation tools and frameworks.

• Preferred: background in regulated, policy-driven, or high-risk content environments.

• Preferred: working knowledge of NIST AI RMF, OWASP GenAI guidance, or similar risk management frameworks.
