Enterprise Context Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Establish the source-of-truth strategy for corporate knowledge, encompassing authoritative systems, indexing, AI eligibility, archiving, and exclusions.

• Set enterprise standards for AI-ready content regarding structure, metadata, provenance, and accessibility.

• Design governance for AI actions, which includes eligibility criteria, prerequisites, approvals, escalation procedures, and rollback measures.

• Direct the platform and connector strategy for the content stack while collaborating with IT and Engineering on architecture and access.

• Create a federated operating model for enterprise content, focusing on stewardship, accountability for accuracy, and lifecycle policies.

• Establish content quality standards in an AI context, including evaluations for retrieval, grounding, workflow tracing, and policy adherence.

• Share responsibility for AI content eligibility, sensitivity classification, permissions modeling, and access boundaries alongside Legal, Privacy, and Security teams.

• Lead the central context-layer function that connects enterprise knowledge to safe and reliable AI applications at Dropbox.

• Monitor advancements in AI capabilities and translate them into actionable standards and updated architectural decisions.

• Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, and Security teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in designing how information is structured, owned, and maintained on an enterprise scale.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience applying enterprise information architecture to AI retrieval and grounding.

• Direct experience in preparing content for AI utilization.

• Proficient in retrieval-augmented generation, grounding, semantic chunking, embeddings, vector search, and citations.

• Practical experience with knowledge graphs, ontologies, or semantic models.

• Proven track record of building federated operating models across functions beyond direct reporting lines.

• Demonstrated evidence of metadata standards or authoring frameworks implemented at scale.

• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders across Engineering, IT, Legal, Security, and business functions.

• Sound judgment in balancing central standards with domain-specific expertise.

• Preferred: hands-on experience with ServiceNow, Atlassian, Microsoft 365 or Copilot Search, Slack, or Notion.

• Preferred: familiarity with structured authoring methodologies such as DITA, controlled vocabularies, or KCS.

• Preferred: experience with AI evaluation tools and frameworks.

• Preferred: background in regulated, policy-intensive, or high-risk content areas.

• Preferred: working knowledge of NIST AI RMF, OWASP GenAI guidance, or similar risk frameworks.
