Enterprise Architect – Professional Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with enterprise clients to grasp their business strategies, motivations, and limitations, translating these into technological directions.

• Analyze existing technology environments and create cohesive target-state architectures that align with business goals.

• Formulate transformation roadmaps that balance business value, risk, cost, and operational feasibility.

• Set architecture principles, standards, and reference models.

• Assess trade-offs among cloud, container, infrastructure, and AI solutions.

• Provide clear and justifiable recommendations regarding technology compatibility within the larger ecosystem.

• Serve as a trusted advisor and intermediary between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

• Deliver presentations on architectures, roadmaps, and justifications to customer executives and hands-on engineers.

• Interact on-site with customers across various regions during discovery, design, and advisory phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to adopt a holistic view of the enterprise and link technology choices to business objectives.

• Broad knowledge of private cloud platforms, including OpenStack.

• Experience with Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK) is preferred.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes-based container platforms, such as Mirantis k0s and Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE).

• Knowledge of multi-cluster management tools like Mirantis k0rdent.

• Understanding of workload orchestration across clusters and various environments.

• Knowledge of vSphere/VMware environments, virtualization strategies, and migration pathways.

• Familiarity with bare-metal provisioning and the physical infrastructure lifecycle.

• Experience in automation technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar infrastructure-as-code and configuration management methodologies.

• Understanding of cloud and container platform components and their integration.

• Knowledge of enterprise AI infrastructure, model serving, inference stacks, data, security, and governance implications.

• Strong communication skills to convey architecture and rationale effectively to both business and technical audiences.

• Willingness and ability to travel primarily within the EU and US.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, including customer-facing architecture or advisory roles.

• Familiarity with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is preferred.

• Familiarity with Software-Defined Storage (SDS) is preferred.

• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks or methodologies such as TOGAF is preferred.

• Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud strategies and workload portability is preferred.

• Additional European language skills beyond English are preferred.

• Relevant cloud or container industry certifications are preferred.
