Enterprise Architect – Professional Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with enterprise clients to gain insights into their business strategies, drivers, and limitations, translating these into technology directions.

• Analyze existing technology landscapes and design future-state architectures that align with business goals.

• Create transformation roadmaps and prioritize decisions by balancing business value, risk, cost, and operational realities.

• Define architecture principles, standards, and reference models.

• Assess cloud, container, infrastructure, and AI alternatives, providing well-founded recommendations.

• Act as a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

• Present architectures, roadmaps, and justifications to customer executives as well as hands-on engineers.

• Engage directly with customers across various regions during the discovery, design, and advisory phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to adopt a holistic view of the enterprise, linking technology decisions to business objectives.

• Comprehensive knowledge of private cloud platforms, including OpenStack.

• Experience with Kubernetes-based container platforms, such as Mirantis k0s and Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE).

• Familiarity with multi-cluster management tools like Mirantis k0rdent.

• Understanding of workload orchestration across clusters and different environments.

• Knowledge of vSphere/VMware environments, virtualization strategies, and migration pathways.

• Proficient in bare-metal provisioning and the physical infrastructure lifecycle.

• Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code/configuration management tools, such as Ansible or Terraform.

• Insight into cloud and container platform components and their integrations.

• Understanding of enterprise AI infrastructure, model serving, inference stacks, data management, security, and governance implications.

• Strong communication skills to articulate architecture and rationale to both business and technical audiences.

• Willingness to travel primarily within the EU and US.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, including customer-facing architecture or advisory roles.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Experience with Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK) is preferred.

• Familiarity with SDN, SDS, enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF, hybrid or multi-cloud strategies, additional European languages, and relevant industry certifications is advantageous.
