Enterprise Architect – Professional Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with enterprise clients to gain insights into their business strategies, drivers, and limitations, and translate these into technology directions.

• Evaluate existing technology environments and create coherent target-state architectures that align with business goals.

• Formulate transformation roadmaps, prioritizing decisions to manage business value, risk, cost, and operational realities.

• Define architecture principles, standards, and reference models.

• Analyze trade-offs among cloud, container, infrastructure, and AI alternatives and provide well-founded recommendations.

• Serve as a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

• Present architectures, roadmaps, and justifications to customer executives as well as hands-on engineers.

• Engage on-site with customers across regions during discovery, design, and advisory engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven ability to adopt a holistic view regarding enterprise technology and its alignment with business objectives.

• Extensive knowledge of private cloud platforms, including OpenStack.

• Experience with Kubernetes-based container platforms, including Mirantis k0s and Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE).

• Familiarity with multi-cluster management tools such as Mirantis k0rdent.

• Understanding of workload orchestration across clusters and various environments.

• Knowledge of vSphere/VMware environments, virtualization strategies, and migration paths.

• Comprehension of bare-metal provisioning and physical infrastructure lifecycle.

• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management methods.

• Familiarity with components of cloud and container platforms and their integration.

• Understanding of enterprise AI infrastructure, model serving, inference stacks, data management, security, and governance implications.

• Strong communication skills to convey architecture and rationale to both business and technical audiences.

• Willingness to travel, primarily within the EU and US.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, including customer-facing architecture or advisory roles.

• Experience with Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK) is preferred.

• Familiarity with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is preferred.

• Familiarity with Software-Defined Storage (SDS) is preferred.

• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is preferred.

• Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud strategies and workload portability is preferred.

• Additional European language skills beyond English are preferred.

• Relevant cloud or container certifications are preferred.
