Enterprise Architect – Professional Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with enterprise clients to grasp their business strategies, motivations, and limitations, then translate these into technology initiatives.

• Analyze existing technology environments and create cohesive target-state architectures that align with organizational goals.

• Formulate transformation roadmaps, prioritizing actions to optimize business value, risk management, cost, and operational feasibility.

• Define architecture principles, standards, and reference models.

• Assess trade-offs among cloud, container, infrastructure, and AI solutions, providing well-reasoned recommendations.

• Serve as a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

• Showcase architectures, roadmaps, and justifications to customer executives and technical staff.

• Work directly with customers in various regions during the discovery, design, and advisory stages.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to view the enterprise as a whole and link technological choices to business objectives.

• Extensive knowledge of private cloud platforms, including OpenStack.

• Experience with Kubernetes-based container solutions, such as Mirantis k0s and Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE).

• Familiarity with multi-cluster management tools like Mirantis k0rdent.

• Comprehension of workload orchestration across different clusters and environments.

• Knowledge of vSphere/VMware environments, virtualization strategies, and migration pathways.

• Understanding of bare-metal provisioning and the lifecycle of physical infrastructure.

• Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar infrastructure-as-code and configuration management methodologies.

• Insight into cloud and container platform components and their interoperability.

• Familiarity with enterprise AI infrastructure, model serving, inference stacks, data management, security, and governance implications.

• Excellent communication skills for articulating architecture and its justification to both business and technical audiences.

• Willingness and ability to travel, primarily within the EU and US.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, particularly in customer-facing architecture or advisory roles.

• Preferred experience with Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK).

• Desired familiarity with Software-Defined Networking (SDN).

• Desired familiarity with Software-Defined Storage (SDS).

• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is preferred.

• Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud strategies and workload portability is preferred.

• Additional European language skills beyond English are preferred.

• Relevant industry certifications are preferred.
