Enterprise Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Define and uphold the current-state and target-state architecture for Banyan HQ systems.

• Develop transition roadmaps that align with business objectives.

• Establish architectural principles, reference patterns, and technology standards.

• Implement a streamlined architecture review process.

• Design and oversee integrations across Microsoft 365, Okta, NetSuite, Salesforce, Slack, Zoom, and other relevant SaaS platforms.

• Collaborate with the Security team on zero-trust architecture, MDM, Zscaler VPN/ZTNA, and endpoint security.

• Manage AI infrastructure architecture, which includes model/API access, MCP and connector ecosystems, orchestration, automation, identity, logging, and cost controls.

• Work together on consolidated data platforms and AI-ready data foundations.

• Create agent-ready workflows that incorporate human-in-the-loop checkpoints, auditability, and rollback mechanisms.

• Define AI governance, data classification, acceptable use policies, vendor/model evaluation, and monitoring guardrails.

• Transform successful AI pilots into reusable patterns and shared infrastructure.

• Assess technologies and vendors, rationalize overlapping tools, and oversee lifecycle decisions.

• Maintain architectural documentation and system-of-record diagrams.

• Collaborate with IT, Security, and Finance on capacity planning, licensing, total cost of ownership, and AI platform cost management.

• Contribute to the enterprise-wide technology strategy.

• Articulate value, risk, and trade-offs to executive stakeholders.

• Mentor IT staff on architecture thinking, AI fluency, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise or solution architecture, preferably in SaaS or rapidly growing organizations.

• Demonstrated success in developing current-state and target-state architectures and transition roadmaps, with endorsements from executive stakeholders.

• Experience in architecting for enterprise AI adoption, including LLM platforms and APIs, agentic and automation frameworks, retrieval and knowledge architectures, identity, security, and cost controls.

• In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar; certification is preferred.

• Strong experience with Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure and modern SaaS-first, API-driven architectures.

• Practical knowledge of Okta or similar identity providers, iPaaS/middleware, and ERP/CRM ecosystems like NetSuite and Salesforce.

• Comprehensive understanding of data architecture, including data quality, contracts, lineage, and permission-aware access patterns.

• Ability to articulate architecture in business terms and establish trust with executive leadership.
