This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop a strategic territory plan aimed at acquiring new logo accounts and enhancing current customer relationships.
• Conduct meetings to secure new business and build a robust sales pipeline.
• Create strategies that align the value of Sourcegraph's products with the engineering and business goals of prospects.
• Clearly communicate use cases, customer success narratives, and outcomes to both technical and executive audiences.
• Identify champions, influencers, and decision-makers while cultivating trusted advisor relationships.
• Implement a structured sales process, advance the pipeline, and ensure accurate sales forecasting.
• Negotiate intricate enterprise proposals and contracts.
• Share market insights with the Product team to help shape the product roadmap.
• Achieve consistent activity and pipeline targets.
• Manage the entire sales cycle, meeting or surpassing pipeline and revenue goals.
• Collaborate with teams including Customer Engineering, Product, Legal, and Engineering to finalize technically intricate enterprise deals.
• Provide actionable customer feedback to various teams.
• Mentor and assist new Account Executives during onboarding, training, and motivation.
• Must be located in the United States, particularly on the West Coast.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in B2B SaaS or software sales.
• At least 3 years of experience as an Enterprise Account Executive.
• A proven history of exceeding quotas while demonstrating empathy and credibility.
• Experience selling complex solutions with an Average Selling Price (ASP) of $100k or more.
• Comfortable engaging with individual contributors as well as VP and C-level executives.
• Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills across all levels and personas.
• A strong passion for Sourcegraph’s mission and a belief in the transformative potential of developer productivity.
• Willing to undergo reference checks and a background check.
• Nice to have: experience selling products focused on developers or engineering.
• Nice to have: familiarity with software development concepts, CI/CD, version control, or DevOps tools.
• Nice to have: experience in managing complex multi-year contracts.
• Nice to have: knowledge of security, licensing, and compliance requirements.
• Nice to have: vertical expertise in Financial Services, Insurance, Semiconductors, Auto-Manufacturing, or Retail.
• $165,000 USD variable compensation.
• $330,000 USD on-target earnings.
