This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Take ownership of a personal enterprise sales target while ensuring a robust pipeline for new business opportunities.
• Oversee qualified prospects from initial discovery through to proposal development, negotiation, and final closure.
• Cultivate relationships with various stakeholders, including senior decision-makers, and navigate intricate, multi-stakeholder sales processes.
• Recognize how DataEQ’s products, data, and consulting services can provide significant business value.
• Keep precise records of the pipeline, forecasting, and opportunity details in HubSpot.
• Conduct structured discovery sessions to understand client needs, challenges, purchasing processes, and use cases.
• Simplify complex data, analytics, and AI capabilities into clear business propositions and outcomes.
• Lead presentations, demonstrations, and thought-leadership discussions with potential clients.
• Collaborate with Product, Analytics, and Consulting teams to create tailored solutions, pilot programs, and proofs of concept as necessary.
• Identify chances to introduce consulting and advisory services alongside platform offerings.
• Craft persuasive proposals, statements of work, and responses to RFPs.
• Manage discussions related to pricing, scope, contracts, and procurement.
• Direct negotiations and advance opportunities to finalized agreements.
• Engage senior leadership and subject-matter experts when additional strategic, commercial, or technical support is needed.
• Ensure a smooth transition of secured opportunities to the delivery and account management teams.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Analytics, Consulting, and Commercial teams to advance opportunities and create effective solutions.
• Share insights regarding customers, market trends, and competitors with the broader organization.
• Analyze sales performance and contribute to enhancing conversion rates, sales velocity, forecasting, and the overall enterprise sales process.
• Act as the representative voice of prospective customers internally, ensuring that client requirements align with DataEQ’s capabilities.
• Primarily focus on acquiring new clients in Southern Africa, the UK, and the Middle East.
• Market DataEQ’s platform products and consulting and advisory services.
• Collaborate with the Head of Revenue and Enterprise Sales Development Manager on larger or more complex opportunities.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise B2B sales, with a proven history of advancing and closing complex deals while meeting revenue targets.
• Experience in selling SaaS, technology, data, analytics, or other consultative/solution-based products.
• Proven ability to manage multi-stage sales cycles that involve several stakeholders and senior decision-makers.
• Strong presentation, communication, and commercial skills, with the ability to confidently engage with senior clients.
• Familiarity with CRM systems for managing pipelines and forecasting; experience with HubSpot is preferred.
• Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working independently in a remote-first setting.
• Willingness to travel both locally and internationally as necessary.
• Experience in selling data, analytics, AI, or SaaS solutions is advantageous.
• Background in customer experience, customer insights, risk, compliance, or related fields is a plus.
• Experience selling to financial services, retail, telecommunications, or other large enterprise sectors is beneficial.
• Experience in selling consulting or professional services in conjunction with technology products is a bonus.
• Experience presenting research, thought leadership, or complex analytical results to senior audiences is also a plus.
• Experience working across various markets or in international sales environments is advantageous.
• Formal sales training or experience with structured enterprise sales methodologies, such as MEDDPICC or similar frameworks, is a plus.
• Experience in working with or designing AI-native / Agentic GTM systems is an added advantage.
