This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Follow up on referrals for participant-directed services.
• Assist individuals, employers, and providers in completing enrollment documentation.
• Identify and address barriers and delays that affect timely enrollment.
• Collaborate with case management and service/support coordination entities.
• Work with stakeholders to reduce enrollment cycle times and guarantee prompt, complete provider payments.
• Process enrollment documentation, secure employer identification numbers, conduct criminal background checks, and manage other enrollment requirements.
• Communicate necessary referral corrections and update participant and provider enrollment statuses in relevant portals and systems.
• Support workforce management delegation to achieve service level goals.
• Evaluate participants’ and authorized representatives’ capacity to communicate, learn, act as employers, and self-direct services.
• Communicate required supports and accommodations.
• Conduct in-home visits as necessary.
• Document and report instances of inability to self-direct appropriately.
• Educate participants and employers about fiscal intermediary interactions, authorized services, timesheets, provider enrollment, and self-direction.
• Provide person-centered program education and guidance.
• Clarify participant, authorized representative, and provider roles and responsibilities, including payroll, vendor payments, tax withholding, and reporting.
• Deliver direct instruction and train-the-trainer sessions on program rules, Financial Management Systems, online enrollment, service time capture, portals, and emerging technologies.
• Train on the identification and reporting of suspected fraud, abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
• Identify, report, and follow up on potential fraud cases.
• Assess and report instances of participant abuse, neglect, and exploitation following established protocols.
• Maintain documentation of services and time in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Must reside in the state of Virginia.
• Strong customer service and support experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, Nexus, Better Online, Adobe Sign platforms, and web-based applications.
• High aptitude for process assessment, improvement, and recommendations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.
• A related bachelor’s degree is preferred; however, it can be replaced with 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Additional education and experience requirements as specified by state contract requirements.
• At least one (1) year of experience serving individuals with disabilities and/or aging adults is preferred.
• Capability to undertake regular business travel and necessary in-home visits.
