Enrolled Actuary, AUI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze the elements of Defined Benefit / Cash Balance Plan actuarial valuations and communicate any concerns to in-house actuaries and clients.

• Prepare and manage PBGC filings for applicable Defined Benefit Plans.

• Stay informed about industry trends and share valuable insights with clients and team members.

• Keep track of evolving 401(k) and Defined Benefit Plan legislative requirements.

• Read and interpret legal plan documents and amendments effectively.

• Discuss potential plan design modifications and options with clients.

• Review valuations for 401(k), trust accounting, and government reporting based on accrual accounting.

• Conduct and comprehend non-discrimination testing.

• Offer actuarial and administrative support to clients.

• Execute benefit calculations, valuations, AFTAP, and Schedule B.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in retirement plans, with a preference for experience in small defined benefit plans.

• Enrolled Actuary designation is necessary for signing documents.

• Strong understanding of non-discrimination testing.

• Familiarity with Defined Benefit / Cash Balance actuarial valuation reports and PBGC filing prerequisites.

• Knowledge of advanced cross-testing concepts and capability to conduct tests for cost-effective nondiscrimination solutions.

• Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Experience with Relius, FT William, or similar administrative systems.

• Excellent project management and leadership abilities.

• High level of comfort with technology.

• Must be adaptable, creative, proactive, and eager to develop professionally.
