This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Translate, copy-edit, and conduct MTPE for various types of content including marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and legal materials.

• Contribute to an exciting, long-term initiative with a prominent multinational corporation.

• Manage an anticipated workload of over 5,000 words per week.

• Utilize the client-specific CAT tool, with training provided during the onboarding process.

• Collaborate on high-visibility international projects.

• Establish a lasting partnership with Welo Global.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Malay with an exceptional command of English.

• A minimum of 2 years of professional translation experience, ideally with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related discipline, or over 5 years of experience without a formal translation degree.

• Proven experience translating from English to Malay across various content types, including informational, marketing, UI, product, and support materials.

• Familiarity with CAT tools.

• Outstanding attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality translations while adhering to deadlines in a fast-paced localization setting.

• Strong communication skills, as well as responsiveness, reliability, and a willingness to accept feedback and make revisions.

• Capability to work as a freelancer or independent contractor.
