English to Latvian Financial/Banking Freelance Linguists

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Translate financial and banking materials from English into Latvian.

• Assist TransPerfect's clients with their translation requirements as part of the freelance linguist database.

• Complete an e-learning module tailored to the client’s needs.

• Undergo a background check if necessary during the onboarding process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native proficiency in the target language.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Expertise in financial and banking topics.

• Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar.

• Ability to uphold professionalism in all situations, particularly when facing tight deadlines.

• One of the following qualifications: a degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies (or an equivalent degree with substantial translation training) from an accredited higher education institution; 2 years of translation experience along with a college degree; 5 years of translation experience without a degree; or a certificate of competence in translation issued by a relevant government authority.

• Demonstrable experience with financial and banking content.

• Completion of a brief, client-specific e-learning module.

• Willingness to undergo a bank-required background check if onboarding continues.

• Must reside in the United States.
