English to Japanese Patent Translator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Translate patent documents related to Biology and Chemistry from English to Japanese, ensuring the original intent is maintained while being easily comprehensible.

• Assist in a patent translation initiative focusing on English-to-Japanese materials.

• Utilize XTM and various Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools, including Trados.

• Achieve a weekly output exceeding 5,000 words.

• Respond to emails in a timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess substantial experience in patent translation, particularly in the fields of Biology and Chemistry.

• Demonstrate native-level proficiency in Japanese.

• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in patent translation.

• Be proficient in using CAT tools, such as XTM and Trados.

• Provide prompt email replies.

• Capable of translating over 5,000 words each week.
