English to German Linguist, Copy Editor – Product, Marketing, UI Content

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Convert English (en-US) content into German (de-DE and/or de-CH)

• Conduct copy-editing and machine translation post-editing (MTPE)

• Engage with marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and light legal content

• Contribute to a long-term project for a prominent multinational corporation

• Produce over 5000 words weekly

• Utilize the client-specific CAT tool

• Collaborate on high-profile international projects

• Establish a long-term partnership with Welo Global

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in German (de-DE and/or de-CH)

• Strong command of English (en-US)

• At least 2 years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related discipline, or 5+ years of professional translation experience without a formal translation qualification

• Proven experience translating from English to German (de-DE and/or de-CH)

• Background in translating informational, marketing, UI, product, and support content

• Familiarity with CAT tools

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Demonstrated capability to deliver high-quality translations while adhering to deadlines in a fast-paced localization setting

• Strong communication skills, along with responsiveness, reliability, and a willingness to accept feedback and make revisions
