English to Filipino MTPE, AI Translation Evaluator – Software Localization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Evaluate machine-translated and AI-generated materials for correctness, fluency, and usability, assessing whether the content is ready for publication or needs further editing.

• Detect and categorize translation inaccuracies, including mistranslations, omissions, additions, AI hallucinations, grammatical and syntactical errors, spelling and punctuation mistakes, terminology discrepancies, tonal and stylistic issues, as well as formatting and localization challenges.

• Confirm compliance with established terminology and style guidelines.

• Ensure correct management of variables, placeholders, UI strings, and formatting specifications.

• Validate consistency across software interfaces and technical documentation.

• Offer linguistic insights to enhance the quality of machine translation and AI translation.

• Adhere to project-specific quality frameworks and localization standards.

• Collaborate with localization managers, quality leads, and project teams.

• Uphold high standards of linguistic precision and user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native fluency in Filipino with a strong, nuanced proficiency in written English.

• At least 5 years of professional freelance experience focused on software localization, IT translation, MT Evaluation, MT Post-Editing, or AI Translation Review.

• A Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, Localization, or a related discipline.

• Availability to cover CET time zone (PHT afternoon/evening shift).

• Solid understanding of software localization processes and industry best practices.

• Capability to independently and consistently evaluate translation quality.

• Preferred experience with leading tech companies, software vendors, SaaS providers, or enterprise IT organizations.
