English Language Learner Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish daily connections and engage in proactive outreach to motivate and involve students

• Provide tailored English Language Development instruction that corresponds with each student's proficiency level

• Evaluate reading, writing, listening, and speaking data to pinpoint gaps and modify instruction accordingly

• Track engagement and academic progress while delivering timely, personalized interventions

• Assess work promptly and offer constructive feedback that promotes learning and development

• Keep accurate records of student progress and interventions

• Maintain consistent communication with students and families through phone, text, chat, Zoom, and email

• Assist students in navigating assigned curriculum, pacing, and resources

• Lead live sessions as needed using the content provided

• Aid in proctoring during testing periods, which may require occasional travel

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and leaders, engaging in professional development, meetings, and training

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in English Language (required)

• Valid teaching license with a Multilingual Learner (CLD/EL or equivalent) endorsement (required)

• Capability to obtain certifications in Arizona, Colorado, Washington, and other designated states (required)

• Minimum of 2 years experience teaching English Learners in a K-12 environment, either online or in-person (required)

• At least 2 years of online teaching experience (preferred)

• Ability to clear required background checks (required)

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills

• Demonstrated content knowledge and previous educational success with students from diverse backgrounds

• Proficiency in Mac OS, Google Workspace, learning management systems, and task management tools like Asana

• Capacity to work independently and collaborate with remote teams

• Willingness and ability to travel to designated testing locations for proctoring
