English Language Expert – Freelance AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belize.

📋 Description

• Engage in discussions with the language model in English on a diverse array of subjects.

• Ensure linguistic precision and cultural relevance.

• Capture reproducible instances of errors.

• Propose enhancements for prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

• Test advanced language models on contextual understanding, tone adaptation, regional spelling differences, colloquial expressions, and semantic precision.

• Document instances of model failures to enhance model reasoning capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in English specific to Caribbean, Belize, and Guyana dialects.

• In-depth knowledge of regional grammar, phonetics, syntax, idiomatic expressions, and cultural references distinctive to the Caribbean, Belize, and Guyana.

• Capability to assess contextual interpretation, tone adaptation, regional spelling conventions, colloquial phrasing, and semantic accuracy.

• Competence in documenting model failure modes and recording reproducible error instances.

• Effective metacognitive communication skills, demonstrating your thought process.

• Relevant professional experience in teaching, translation, localization, or editorial roles is advantageous.

• A Master's degree in Linguistics, English, Literature, Translation, or a related field is preferred.
