English Instructor – Full-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Teach small groups of students foundational English skills to promote long-term comprehension and achieve high ACT/SAT scores.

• Monitor student progress utilizing Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum.

• Involve students in personalized growth and enhancement opportunities.

• Manage and refresh student lesson schedules regularly.

• Ensure students are accountable for their assignments.

• Exemplify professionalism and effective organizational skills through timely communication with students.

• Design and creatively implement dynamic lesson plans and curricula.

• Guide middle and high school students throughout the college application journey.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities discipline from accredited US institutions (such as English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.).

• A Master’s degree or higher is preferred.

• At least 1 year of teaching experience in English or experience in a college-level Writing Center.

• Proven academic excellence, such as a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

• Excellent verbal communication skills and proficiency in the English language.

• Skilled in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.

• A reliable internet connection and a workspace that is free from distractions.

• A commitment to work during designated operational hours.

• Teaching experience at the college or community college level is preferred.

• Knowledge of classroom pedagogy and the ability to craft engaging, customized lesson plans.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
