English Instructor – FT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide instruction to small groups of students focusing on core English skills for sustained comprehension and excellent ACT and SAT performance.

• Monitor and assess student progress using Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum.

• Engage students in personalized growth and development opportunities.

• Organize and update lesson schedules for students.

• Hold students accountable for their assignments.

• Demonstrate professionalism and strong organizational skills through prompt communication with students.

• Design and innovatively implement dynamic lesson plans and curriculum.

• Guide middle and high school students throughout the college application process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities discipline from accredited US institutions (e.g., English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing).

• A Master’s degree or higher is preferable.

• At least 1 year of teaching experience in English, or experience in a college-level Writing Center.

• Proven academic excellence (e.g., a GPA of 3.5 or higher).

• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong command of the English language.

• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Google Suite.

• Access to a reliable internet connection and a workspace that minimizes noise and distractions.

• Willingness to work during designated operational hours.

• Preferred experience teaching at the college or community college level.

• Knowledge of classroom pedagogy and the ability to create tailored, engaging lesson plans.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
