This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Teach small groups of students essential English skills to foster long-term comprehension and improve ACT/SAT scores.
• Monitor student advancement through Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum.
• Encourage students to engage in personalized growth and enhancement opportunities.
• Organize and update student lesson schedules.
• Hold students responsible for their assignments.
• Exemplify professionalism and strong organizational skills through prompt communication with students.
• Lead the development and innovative implementation of evolving lesson plans and curricula.
• Guide middle and high school students throughout the college application process.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities discipline from accredited US institutions (English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.).
• Experience in teaching English and/or experience in a college-level Writing Center (1+ years).
• Proven academic excellence (e.g., 3.5+ GPA).
• Excellent verbal communication skills and mastery of the English language.
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suite applications.
• Reliable internet connection and a workspace with minimal noise and distractions.
• Commitment to working during designated hours of operation.
• Teaching experience at the college or community college level is preferred.
• Strong understanding of classroom pedagogy and the ability to create tailored, engaging lesson plans.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
