This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.

📋 Description

• Educate small groups of students in essential English skills to ensure long-term comprehension and high achievement on ACT and SAT assessments.

• Monitor student development through Vanguard’s multi-phase educational curriculum.

• Encourage students to pursue individual growth and improvement opportunities.

• Organize and update student lesson schedules.

• Hold students accountable for their assignments.

• Exemplify professionalism and strong organizational abilities through timely communication with students.

• Design and creatively implement dynamic lesson plans and curriculum.

• Guide middle and high school students through the college application journey.

• Work collaboratively with instructors, counselors, and specialists to promote student achievement.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities discipline from accredited US institutions (such as English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.); a Master’s degree or higher is preferred.

• At least 1 year of teaching experience in English and/or experience in a college-level Writing Center.

• Proven academic excellence (e.g., GPA of 3.5 or higher).

• Exceptional verbal communication skills and mastery of the English language.

• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Google Suite.

• Access to a reliable internet connection and a workspace with minimal noise and distractions.

• Dedication to working during specified operational hours.

• Experience in teaching at the college or community college level is preferred.

• Strong understanding of classroom pedagogy.

• Capability to develop personalized and engaging lesson plans utilizing practical, real-world examples.

• Ability to function both independently and collaboratively within a team.
