This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Teach small groups of students fundamental English skills to foster long-term comprehension and achieve high scores on the ACT and SAT exams.
• Monitor student performance using Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum.
• Involve students in personalized development and enhancement opportunities.
• Manage and update student lesson schedules effectively.
• Ensure students are accountable for their assignments.
• Exemplify professionalism and strong organizational abilities through timely communication with students.
• Design and creatively implement adaptive lesson plans and curriculum.
• Guide middle and high school students through the college application process.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities discipline from accredited U.S. institutions (such as English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.).
• A minimum of one year of teaching experience in English or related experience in a college-level Writing Center.
• Proven academic excellence, such as a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong command of the English language.
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suite applications.
• Availability of a reliable internet connection and a distraction-free workspace.
• Dedication to working during the specified operational hours.
• Experience teaching at the college or community college level.
• In-depth understanding of classroom pedagogy with the ability to create customized and engaging lesson plans.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
