This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide instruction to small groups of students in core English skills to foster long-term comprehension and achieve high scores on ACT and SAT exams.

• Monitor students’ advancement through Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum.

• Involve students in personalized growth and enhancement opportunities.

• Manage and refresh student lesson schedules.

• Ensure students are accountable for their assignments.

• Exhibit professionalism and excellent organizational skills through timely communication with students.

• Lead the development and innovative implementation of evolving lesson plans and curriculum.

• Assist middle and high school students in navigating the competitive and often stressful college application process.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities discipline from US institutions (such as English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.); a Master’s degree or higher is preferred.

• At least 1 year of teaching experience in English and/or experience working in a college-level Writing Center.

• Proven academic achievement (e.g., a GPA of 3.5 or higher).

• Excellent verbal communication skills and proficiency in the English language.

• Competence in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.

• Reliable internet access and a workspace with minimal distractions.

• Willingness to work during the Hours of Operations: Tuesdays to Thursdays from 1:30 pm CST to 9:30 pm CST; Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 am CST to 5:30 pm CST.

• Experience teaching at the college or community college level.

• Strong understanding of classroom pedagogy and the ability to create tailored, engaging lesson plans using practical, real-world examples.

• A passion for helping students acknowledge, pursue, and achieve their maximum potential.

• A vibrant and extroverted personality.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
