This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Execute copy-editing responsibilities for mathematics textbooks designed for ESL students in Vietnam, covering grades 2 through 8.

• Modify textbook language to ensure it is comprehensible for students.

• Assist in aligning materials with Vietnam's national curriculum and international educational standards.

• Conduct substantive edits for cultural appropriateness, accuracy, artwork logs, and translation tagging.

• Edit for clarity and consistency, addressing errors, cross-dependency checks, headings, key terms, unit features, activities, questions and answers, and glossary entries.

• Provide manuscript files with tracked changes.

• Submit polished manuscript files.

• Copy-edit artwork logs.

• Complete and address query logs prior to manuscript submission.

• Fill out the client brief checklist and offer notes for the typesetter or proofreader as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in English.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

• At least 3 years of experience teaching English to young learners.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in copy-editing.

• Familiarity with the corporate business environment.

• Proficiency in Vietnamese.

• Availability for 6–8 hours daily during designated project weeks.
