Engineering Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Actively participate in the design and development of scalable and reliable systems.

• Collaborate with technical leaders and the Chief Technology and Product Officer (CTPO) to define and enhance engineering strategy, architecture, and platform foundations.

• Oversee a small team of engineers, providing support for their professional growth.

• Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes learning, ownership, and constructive feedback.

• Investigate and implement AI tools aimed at boosting developer productivity and expediting delivery.

• Work in partnership with Product and Design teams to deconstruct challenges, plan efficiently, and execute confidently.

• Eliminate obstacles and assist the team in reaching their objectives.

• Lead site reliability initiatives, encompassing observability, incident response, on-call duties, and the development of scalable, secure, resilient systems.

• Influence product strategy and roadmap in collaboration with technical leaders and the CTPO.

• Experience with React, Ruby on Rails, AWS, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD technologies, or a similar tech stack.

• This role can be performed from any location in New Zealand or Australia.
